Case study
A SaaS platform that shows Egyptian online sellers their real profit.
YKB Finance helps online sellers in Egypt see what they actually make after returns, shipping, cash-on-delivery fees and ad spend. We built the whole platform: the public site, the seller app, the reports and AI assistant, and the admin side YKB runs the business from.

The problem
Sellers on Shopify, EasyOrders or a Facebook page often think they know their profit, but the number in their head is rarely the one in the bank. YKB puts it plainly on its site: 15 to 30% of cash-on-delivery orders come back, and each one costs shipping both ways plus the ads behind it.
Courier payouts arrive late and are hard to check. Ads are billed in dollars, so a campaign that looks good on Meta can lose money once returns and fees are counted.
What we built
- A profit engine
- Profit per order, product and campaign after product cost, shipping, returns, cash-on-delivery fees and ad spend in real Egyptian pounds, with the working shown for each order.
- Works with how sellers already run
- Read-only connections to Shopify, Bosta and Meta Ads, plus Excel and Google Sheets imports with column mapping and 17 templates for other stores and couriers.
- Reports that lead with the answer
- Delivery success by governorate and courier, unpaid courier payouts, products ranked by profit, and return on ad spend counted on delivered orders only.
- An Arabic AI assistant
- Sellers can ask questions like “why did my profit drop?” about their own data, and get written insights, recommendations and alert explanations. Usage is metered per plan.
Inside the platform

Running the business
YKB is invite-only and takes subscriptions by InstaPay or bank transfer, so the admin side had to fit how the company really sells.
- Access requests from the site, then an email invitation to each approved client.
- Plans, limits and prices kept in admin settings, so the public pricing updates without new code.
- Manual billing: payments recorded in the admin dashboard, with renewal reminders.
- Team roles for clients: owner, partner, media buyer and accountant.
- AI model, keys and budget managed from the admin side, with costs tracked per plan.
Built for financial data
- Read-only by design
- YKB never changes anything in a seller’s store, ads or courier account.
- It never touches money
- It is an analytics platform, not a payment gateway. Payments and payouts stay where they are.
- Each client’s data stays separate
- Database-level rules keep one seller’s data away from another’s, and customer phone numbers are stored hashed.
- Tested on every change
- Type checks, linting and 618 automated tests run before changes go live.
Where it stands
The platform is live at ykb.keyt.cloud with three invite-only plans, in Arabic and English, on desktop and phone.
We kept working on it with YKB after launch, simplifying the plans and pricing page once the offer became clearer.
What comes next
YKB is checking its import templates, connections and AI prompts against real seller data, so the numbers hold up on the messy exports sellers actually have.
